Nummereen was already known as a good employer. Yet it remained unclear how employees truly experienced their work. Numbers alone do not show what employees feel on a daily basis, what they go through, or what they need to work with energy. What makes employees genuinely feel at home in their work and at Nummereen?
Nummereen chose to give employees space to tell their own stories. Without leading questions or fixed answer categories. Employees described what gives them energy in their work, and what gets in the way of that energy. We translated these stories into insights that were not only recognisable, but also provided clear direction for choices and actions, both within the organisation and across teams.
The stories revealed that work energy does not primarily come from salary or tasks, but from something else. Employees feel positive when they feel seen, heard and valued, when collaboration within the team works well and they can bring out the best in themselves.
At the same time, the barriers to a positive work experience also came into sharp focus. Workload and limited flexibility in schedules proved to weigh more heavily than previously assumed. It was precisely there that clear opportunities for targeted improvement emerged.
With these insights, Nummereen was able to invest in what truly makes a difference for employees, not based on assumptions, but on recognisable stories. This provided direction and clarity for decisions around workload, flexibility and collaboration.
The impact was not limited to the organisation itself. The positive outcomes formed the foundation for a successful employer branding campaign, offering an honest and relatable picture of what it is like to work at Nummereen. Employees experienced greater engagement and job satisfaction, and in some cases former colleagues even chose to return.
In short, Nummereen is building a workplace where human experience takes centre stage, aligned with what work demands today and in the future.
